Changing a Life

Don't take your beautiful smile for granted! No matter whether you came by it through good genetics or the services of an orthodontist, be grateful; it is a gift. For many, a beautiful smile is only a dream.

Here is what a beautiful, healthy smile can do for you...
  • give you self confidence
  • make you successful
  • tell others you are outgoing
  • make you more attractive
  • inspire hope
  • change your life

For these reasons and others too...DiCiccio Orthodontics is proud to be associated with an amazing organization called Smile for a Lifetime. This non-profit organization, provides orthodontic care for deserving, young people. Our Fresno/Clovis chapter was founded by Dr. DiCiccio in February of 2011 and we are proud to say that we are currently changing the lives of 10 young people in our community!

Our mission is to find young people who have a need for braces that are between the ages of 11 and 17. These individuals must be successful students that participate in school and local activities, but do not have the means to attain the orthodontic care they need. Our hope is that through the increased self-confidence of a beautiful smile that they are motivated to achieve their goals and to give back to the community. All of the individuals that receive an orthodontic scholarship are required to "pay it forward" by participating in 40 hours of community service during their time in treatment.

If you know of someone who might qualify for the gift of a smile and they live in the Fresno/Clovis, CA area, please forward them to the DiCiccio Orthodontics website. If you are not in this area, but would like to know if there is a chapter in your area, please visit the National Smile for a Lifetime website.

The Fresno/Clovis chapter awards 12 orthodontic scholarships per year. Our local board of directors selects the recipients on a quarterly basis, so applications are always being accepted. The application and requirements are located at www.DiCiccioOrtho.com.

If you would like to keep current with what is going on in our local chapter, please "LIKE" the Smile for a Lifetime-Fresno/Clovis Facebook

Please take a minute to look at the story of one of our recent scholars...

Committed...PROVE IT!

Have you noticed that when you are fully committed to something...whether it is a cause, a goal or even a relationship that you become bold, decisive, gutsy and unstoppable?

When you are committed, you have lots of energy and are driven by a strong sense of purpose to achieve what you want. You unlock the doors of your imagination, your vision expands and your creativity is boundless.

There are two fundamental conditions for commitment. The first is having a set of beliefs. As the old saying goes, "Stand for something or you'll fall for anything." The second is sticking to those beliefs with your actions. Possibly the best description of commitment is "persistence with a purpose".

All of us at DiCiccio Orthodontics are committed to making your experience at our office reach far beyond your expectations. We are committed to delivering excellent customer service and providing outstanding patient care. We care about our work and the work of each of our team members. Each day, we show up and we make a commitment to each other and to our patients to have fun, to be engaged and to put our commitment into action.

Please share your experience of our commitment here and with anyone who might be be in need of our services. If you aren't a patient and would like to be...give us a call at (559) 225-2251.  We would love to put our commitment into action for you!

What's the WORD?

We are taking our mission statement to a whole new level...have you noticed?

Our mission statement is important to us at DiCiccio Orthodontics.  It reflects not only our commitment to each other but also our commitment to our patients.
Starting this week, you will notice each team member wearing a colored ribbon corresponding to one of the 10 key points in our mission statement. We wear these ribbons as a reminder of our commitment!

POSITIVE ATTITUDE is our first ribbon and we would like to share this week's winning story...

One of our dear families lost their father/husband very recently this past year. It was very unexpected and rather sudden. We were all very saddened by the loss and it's nearness to the holidays made it that much worse. With the approach of the holidays, this amazing family had the choice to sit at home and mourn their loss, which they would have had every right to do, but instead they chose to make a difference for someone else. They helped 15 other families decorate and prepare for the holidays. Their Positive Attitude made a huge difference in the lives of many other people and allowed them to celebrate as well.

We look forward to sharing the rest of our mission statement with you in the coming weeks. Feel free to ask us what each of the words or phrases mean to us or tell us your story!

Earlier this year we posted a blog which included our mission statement...if you are interested in reading the entire mission statement, check out the link below:

Our COMMITMENT to YOU!

People, communities, organizations and businesses, from time to time, need to evaluate who they are, what they are about and what their roll in life or their community looks like. With this thought in mind, we are excited to share with you a project we have been working on for the past few months.

Our office philosophy has ALWAYS been to deliver outstanding, orthodontic care in a fun, patient-centered environment. By having a smaller, single doctor practice, we can provide more consistent and personalized  treatment for our patients at a more relaxed pace than if we were a larger group or clinic facility. Our highly-skilled team of RDA's and support staff offer our patients individualized care with above and beyond customer service.

We felt that it was important to put OUR COMMITMENT to YOU into words. Over the past several months, our team has spent quite a bit of time refining our Mission Statement to truly reflect our team's vision.

By re-doing one of our pieces of art in our reception area, we have also provided you with a visual reminder every time you enter our office. Please take a moment to enjoy this visual reminder at your next visit. We are very excited to share our vision with you!
